Brent has been mountain biking since 1984. That love of riding eventually found him working in the bicycle shops he loved so much. After 31 years working on bicycles with some amazing people in Los Angeles, Salida Colorado and Utah he founded Bentonville Bicycle Company with his wife Jennifer and their young son. Brent is equally at home on road, BMX and even trials bikes and loves long tough rides or a fun cruise with the family. Brent has completed some pretty tough events such as the Barnburner 104, Leadville Trail 100 and The Vapor Trail 125. Family is at the heart of everything Brent does and his desire to get people out riding, having fun and getting healthy together is a founding principle of the business. Brent tries to go by bike as much as possible and is excited to live and work in area that is so cycling friendly. Brent is also a wealth of knowledge on mountain biking in Colorado, particularly the Salida (Monarch Crest) area of the state. If you are planning a trip to this area feel free to stop in and ask any questions you may have.

Jennifer already has one of the toughest jobs available. As the Mother of a young one , she felt she needed a little more to add to her plate so you will see her in the shop from time to time helping out. Jennifer Rides a Marin Rift Zone 1 27.5 and is new to mountain Biking. Her perspective as a brand new rider has helped us with our approach to the many new riders we see in the shop each week. She is quite an accomplished singer with a B.M. in Vocal performance and was a former Registered Veterinary Technician.
